Lisa Haas is an actor and comedy writer based in Brooklyn, NY. As Evelyn in Laura Terruso’s award winning short film Dyke Dollar, Haas was seen at all the major LGBT film festivals in the U.S. and abroad during the 2009-2010 film festival season. She was seen at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in the World premiere of the feature film Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same. This hilarious, campy and fun romantic comedy has been touring the international and lgbt film festival circuits in 2011 and will continue to do so in 2012. As a playwright, her twisted-queer performance pieces have been seen in NYC, nationally and internationally.Some of those pieces include In Heat, I Sit in the Café, and Stacked: A Deviant Doctoral Dissertation. She is also the co-author of the sketch comedy Rita & Inez: The True Queens of Femininity,. She was the recipient of a Jerome Foundation Fellowship to write her solo comedy, Crown Hill Cemetery, which was in the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, the Orlando International Fringe Festival and toured the Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver fringe festivals in 2009.
Haas also sings acapella with the comedy group The Lesbian Overtones and is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America, Inc. Lisa is currently working on a variety of projects, including writing Doris Anderson: A Second Life and The DPB Scandal, a transgressive comedy about good people with bad secrets.

i’m on the cape for entirely different reasons than the ptown film fest but had the grand good fortune to see you in codep aliens, etc….just wanted to say how sublime you are in the film…winning, wistful with an seriously high adorability quotient–this is not a mash note (though i’m guessing that after this film gets greater distribution, you may be in for some), just a discerning aesthetic pov…thanks for a ‘good time’
